Over 7 Days Without Food. What Did a Detox Do to Me and My Energy?
Every year I do a detox to get my body back into sync. However, last year I didn’t. I found 100 different excuses as to why the week that I was on was not a good time to do it because I knew that it would be a challenge to be out and about meeting people and often watching them eat!
The week that I’ve just had has been one of the most active and busy ones that I’ve had for a long time and I was certainly apprehensive about maintaining my detoxing fast. Even the thought of 7 days without food is enough to elicit a stress response. However, I have felt incredible during the week and am really feeling the benefits now with my energy, mood and motivation.
The idea of detoxing may not be the best but the results speak for themselves. I cannot recommend highly enough the results of going on a detox, so much so that I have decided to spend this week on a raw food diet. That will be challenging enough after my regular cheese, pasta, bread and chocolate indulgences beforehand but after a week of fasting it should be a touch easier!
